Our ISP has been real quirky lately, luckily it's up now so I can post. I fished from 8:30pm - 12am, launched at the boat ramp in Mission Bay Park. I was hoping these fish which won't eat in the daytime would bite at night. They Didn't. I had 3 spotties to 2#, and one legal 'butt at about 26". All were caught on 9" grubs, different colors for each fish. It was very slow all night with very few bites. I dumped a second 'butt right after the first one. I just wish I hadn't been so cold, I would've had a good shot at another. I drifted the area four times, got the one legal, dumped another nice one, and got bit the last two. But, it was way too cold to stay. My feet are still freezing after 2 hrs of thawing. It was a nice relaxing time though. Work has been hell for the last 3 weeks, so I needed the break.

It was rather Ironic that I got the 'butt (only my second legal from the tube). I was going to fish a local lake tonight. But, when I stopped by to check the one launch area that isn't a hike to get to, it was littered with busted bottles and fish carcasses. The ironic part is that one of the skeletons was from a large butt, probably
20 -25#. Also some sand bass parts. It really pissed me off, the launch area is worthless with all the broken glass, plus it stinks from dead fish. It looked very fishy too, water had a good stain, it was calm, and looked really inviting.
