Well it wasn't last night that's for sure. I fished with Rodney (Tube-Inator) and his friend Dan. We launched around 7:30 or 8:00, back in by 11ish. Unfourtunately, the wind kicked up just prior to launch. Made for screwy drifts, and made things a little cold. We stayed right around the launch area and worked back and forth through the boats.

I'm not sure what Rod and Dan finished with, but it wasn't limits I'm sure. I finished with 6 legals to 6# and 1 very short short. 4 of the legals were good sized sandies, smallest was 2.5 or so, the other two were spotties in the 1.5 range. The 6 came on a 6" purple zipper, the 6" short on a 9" smoke/sparkle grub. The rest of the fish came on freaks in smoke/sparkle or brown w/ red flake.

Bite was slow. As Rod reminded us, "Wind from the East, fish bite the least." Very true, very true. I had 4 of my fish in the first hour. In fact I was wishing I was in a tourney. The first three fish would've gone 13+. So, I guess I won't complain. Though Rod and Dan might wish to.

No complaints here my friend :D. I ended up with four fish (2 spot-o-teas/2 sandies), mostly on your freak bait, with a lot of short biters again. The wind made it crystal clear, and the incredible view of the S.D. skyline was enjoyment enough. Good luck next weekend!
