5766, BPs tonight
Posted by AmishEd, Mon Apr-22-02 04:46 PM
Fished south O-side tonight for about 2 hrs. Tide was really high, the water seemed pretty warm, and the wind wasn't too bad. Caught 2 bardies, one was maybe 5", the other was about 9". Used a C-rigged 1" grub (Perch Madness I think). Had quite a few bites, but they just wouldn't hold on. Nice and relaxing time.

AmishEd, I fished the harbor late saturday afternoon and did nada.A guy using mussel which I normally use when I'm not doing plastics nailed a 21" 3lb Corbina! x( I've got to find balance! He was casting just 25 yards from me. I can tell now that surf fishing this summer is going to drive me nuts! What should I do? Plastics for Halibut or Sand Crabs and Mussel for Corbina and Spotfins? What a dilema.

Check that drag! :)
