Nick, Dana is one of my fave landings in the winter. What type of plastic were you tossing? If short bit on a swimbait, immediately freespool the reel to draw another strike. You may have to reel quickly and repeat several times before a hook up. Also, drop down to a smaller size, like go from a 5 inch to a 4 inch, etc. Scent also helps too. All of the above are good tactics for cooler water.
