hey scotty. i fish dry flies for trout and largemouth but have never thrown heavy things like clousers or poppers because im afraid of getting hit. is the cast similar to a dry fly cast? one time i put a split shot on my tippit to see if i could cast it. needless to say i got hit in the back of the head so hard i almost got knocked out and decided not to try anything but dry flies again.
