I've got two 400 series Shimano Catala reels that will hold plenty of fluorocarbon line, however I was hoping to use the thinner PowerPro on my CU200BSF Curados. With my Super Free Curado I can cast a 1 oz Carolina rig with a 3-4 foot leader at least 75 yards with moss green 50# PowerPro (12# diameter) and a 7' rod rated up to 1 oz. I'm a pretty good sized ol' country boy, so I can really load up the rod and fling a bait way out there. I'm guessing the new 1.3 - 1.9oz swimbaits I've got won't be as aerodynamic as a C-rig? I plan on using my 8 1/2' salmon rod or my 7 1/2' flipping rod, which are each rated for lures up to 2 oz.
