The Mattlures Minnow is a 4" weedless swimbait. The lures come three to a pack with a retail price around $10 per pack.

I tested several baits the other day and was pleased with what I saw. The lures swam true, and the overall profile of the lure appeals to me. What I mean is that from the side, the lure has substance and profile, but at the same time - the width is not much more than 1/8".

This is a big departure from the Basstrix and her clones, which can be frustrating from a hookset standpoint. The Mattlures Minnow is so thin that I would expect excellent hookup ratios. And if you add a treble to the shank of the main hook, things could be even better.

The lure has the name "minnow" but I would be most inclined to throw this in shad patterns around fish that were on shad. I could see wonderful things happening around grass beds in May with this lure, or any time you have busting bass.

Thanks Rob. This minnow also has a hole through its nose into the belly slit so you can thread your line through and tie your hook on. It makes it real easy to rig. Once its rigged with a falcon hook you hardley see any hook at all. It basicaly just looks like minnow or shiner swimming through the water.
