Some of you may have seen this on FB awhile back, but it hadn't occurred to me to post it here til now. Caught this 27" 12.5'er @ *Anderson*, of all places, on a 'California-rigged' (Iovino brass-n-glass) 6" Zoom lizard, on 7-lb. Sunline Sniper line. Caught it about 2 weeks before they closed the ramp at the end of Aug.

Only my 2nd (measured) double-digit bass, and a long time coming, so it sure caught me by surprise (not being the 'hunter' that some of y'all are)!

Anyway, just thought I'd share, to let you know there are more than just one- and two-pounders out there! (Wondering, though, if maybe this could be a Coyote transplant??? Hmmm...)

A guy I met at a BASSMaster Univ. weekend about 10 years ago swore he caught one over 17lbs there; took it to Coyote B&T, but he said they wouldn't weigh it for him, so he took it back to the lake.

My fellow Gilroy Bassmaster buddy, who's also a SCC park ranger (Mike Bacon), might have some info on the official record; I'll check with him to see if I can get an answer on that for ya!
