1493, Change coming

I know it was hotter than hot this week, but looking in the extended forecast and just feeling the way the days are getting shorter, I think that we'll have some fronts passing through here in a few weeks. Nothing with a lot of rain, but enough to change the weather pattern and maybe stir up the fish a little. I think it's time to start looking at the weather forecast a little, checking the jet stream and the satellite. The first good front that pushes in could equate into a good bite if you hit it right. There's plenty of hot weather still to come, but keep an eye out, the fall is coming :-)

and I would really like to think that with cooler surface temps, the hatchery trout (bass food) will be up on the surface and getting hammered on daily.
I hope the bite will be at least "as good" this Fall as it has been this Summer....... but I don't want to count my chickens just yet.

One thing is for sure..... I will be watching all of you guys closely. If it starts to come on strong for some of ya'll, but not for me, you can bet I will be switching up on my tactics in a flash
:-)
I still think the big bass at Pablo eat trout (trout lures) pretty much year round, but I am not above throwing jigs :-) Need to get more practice with them anyway.

Great fishing to all of you guys,
Fish

It rained down here in San Marcos today. I was going crazy in class all day not able to fish. It's supposed to rain tomorrow too, so I'll be at Dixon. Of course I'll probably wake up tomorrow morning and it'll be crystal clear bright sunny post front. Went to Dixon a couple days ago and rented a boat but not much goin. A couple small taps on a worm. Dock boy said he hadn't heard of too many big bass lately for what that's worth. I'll go pay my dues tomorrow and hope I find a dumb one...
