5451, Trolling Swimbaits? Posted by Bassin, Fri Dec-17-04 11:37 AM
Going to Lake Cachuma Monday, besides trolling the 3inch BH for Trout I wanted to try trolling something bigger to see if I can get lucky with a bass. Any suggestions on a Swimbait for trolling??

You can troll pretty much any true swimbait or trout plug. I'd prefer to pull trout plugs due to the hook-up ratio. Concentrate on running them a little back from your trout lures and on whatever side it closest to shore. Work any Rocky points and secondary creek channels. Lastly GO SLOW! Almost too slow for trout. Tight lines, Wade
