We had a similar one about 2 weeks ago on one of the other boards. Since Patrick isn't spamming, but the email he got is spam, let's take a vote. Is this spam and should this be deleted? You vote yes or no by replying to this thread, and at 10pm tonight, I tally the votes and if it is voted to be spam, then it gets deleted.

Not SPAM.
One of the regulars should be able to bring something to our attention if he thinks it's cool. He's probably screened out a lot of the SPAM he gets and is bringing this to our attention to get our opinion.

kinda flew off the handle there, but i know you have to see what i mean. i mean, what if i were to say "i found this website while browsing" instead of email! basically, its the person's choice who goes to the site whether to buy the thing or not. hell you dont even have to click the link! i just wanted to know if again, if anyone had seen it!

Had Patrick found this by himself rather than the manufacturer contacting him, it would not be spam. However, in this case Patrick has received an email pushing this product, so in this case I say it's SPAM.

Let's try this question ... How many people got an email from these same people unsolicited into their email inbox? I know I did today, and in the past as well about a year ago. Here is their email:
------------------------------------------------
I would appreciate a minute of your time to view my website www.froglure.ca .

My topwater frog design is unique
and offers a natural in water presentation.

I can guarantee you've never seen a frog lure like this!

Thank-you,

there's no way this is even close to spam. now the email you guys got WAS, but you can't call patrick a spammer at all. if you do then lets see, rob, leapin bass, and i'm sure other people are spammers too!

I never thought that Patrick was spamming. I thought the email he got might of been. Patrick, I think alot of the "big lure" websites you've posted have been pretty cool, keep 'em coming. I'll tell you why I didn't like the frog though. Most of the time when you fish a frog, you're dragging it over mats/weeds. That hook on the bottom, even though they say it's weedless would make it very hard to fish IMO. Now if you want a cool frog lure for alot cheaper, check out this one. If you guys think it's spam you can delete it ,har.

I won't count my own vote, and if you count Patrick's vote I'd say it's a tie. So the frog lure gets some free airtime after all.

Don't ever say I'm unfair about this kinda stuff :-)

It looks kind of cheesie! A few years back I found a frog lure that was set a drift. It was neat in that it was a popper(hula type)the had a string attached to a swivel you tie on to and when you give it a pop it winds the mechanism and the back legs start kicking, I don't even remember what I did with it.

I think you gave it to your kid to play with in the bath tub!!! LOL. Ive seen a few frogs that are neat, like one made out of leather that softens, and that frogzilla is a dawg of a bait!!! Anyhoo, if you think its cool, use your best judgement if SPAM or not. I got a laught out of that lure myself and like seeing new stuff, so not spam.

See ya on the flip side.

When I checked my email there it was, an email from mviger advertising the stupid frog. Any one who buys one of the is now supporting bad business practices.
