Does anybody know where to get plastic worms over 12"? I'd like to find some about 16-18". And if anyone uses them, how do you do with them?

Thanks, I already have some 12" power worms but don't really like their action. I have some 11.5" Gene Larew paddle tail worm that have great action. I also bought some of the Bass Pro Shops 12" worms but have not tried them yet but they look good.

Robbor,
The biggest, longest, heaviest worm made is the 16" Snake poured by DeLong Worms. This is a throw back bait to the beginning days of stitchin' at San Diego lakes. It is a straight tail, and can be fished with a 1/16 or smaller weight because the worm itself is so heavy. We have them here at Bass World West, and most of them go to anglers heading to El Salto, but I know several guys who fish them locally and do well. Especially during the pre-spawn, that's a good idea to be looking for those big worms now. Chris.

I've spent all morning searching the net, and here is what i've found:

S R Plastics in Santee Ca. (16" snake) 14.40/dozen----

Thorne Bros. Delong (16" snake) 3.49 ea.---

Anglersarsenal.com Western Plastics (16" snake) 5/10.50 619-697-9869-

Lurepros.com (17.5" Flat tail worm) 10/15.00 909-797-8775

AA Worms in San Diego area also sells a 16" worm for about 3.00 ea.

I know I've seen some 18" worms somewhere.
