Arizona's current record, a 16-pound, 7.68-ounce behemoth taken from Canyon Lake in 1997, is believed to be an F-1 that decended from stockings in the early 1970s. And the long-standing world record largemouth of 22 pounds, 4 ounces, caught in Georgia nearly 70 years ago, is also thought to have been a northern-Florida combination.
