I'm going to a local lake for a week and am planning on doing some Night Fishing. The lake is deep and pretty clear. I'll be fishing in water from 5' to 30'. The lake has some really big Largemouth in it and gets stocked with Trout. The lake is pretty much filled with fallen logs, rocks, and not that much weeds. There are some deep docks there also. Does anyone have some advice on some good baits that they'd suggest for a big Largemouth at night? I'd really like to get a good sized fish. What area's should I target for big fish at night?
Thanks,
Elliott

Slammer, Black/Red Brush Hogs, Single Colorado spinnerbait Black, Jitter Bug. I will usally fish around structure at night the fish will usally cruise around it at night rather than stick to it like in the day time.

Big plastic worms 8-11" in dark or black color,of course a slammer, and i found the a.c. minnow made by optimum has a dark trout pattern thats great for night fishing .also a black jitterbug for old schools sake ,if you dont have one(jitterbug) i have an extra for cheap.
tight lines, brian

The lake is called Blue Lakes. It's about 30 minutes from Clear Lake.

Blue Lakes should be great for night fishing, I always wanted to night fish there but could never convince my foot to hit the break until I was at Clear Lake. Based on the lakes characteristics, youve got to fish a swimbait. And, with all those trees and bushes rimming the lake (and I know the shoreline drops quickly) ya gotta pitch a big rattling jig and pig into the shorline cover.

Let us know how you do.

Just go back today and caught a ton of small fish. At night I caught a bunch on Chug Bugs and worms. I saw some 6-8 pounders suspended under a dock off shore and tried to get them to bite but they would'nt. I even came back a while later and made long casts with a Swenko and a Fluke and could'nt get them.
