6767, what moon phase is best for your fishing?

do you guys prefer to fish on a new moon or a full moon and why?
personally i'm thinking the new moon is the better of the 2 ,I have read somewere the changing conditons under a new moon cause the fish/baitfish to be more active, and from fishing those times i can attest to that.especially i found that to be true in the ocean for me.

I prefer a waxing new moon/new moon, 3 days prior to the new moon is perfect. And during those nights I prefer the moon to be underfoot, setting or rising.

Full moon is my second choice, waxing. But I really dont like fishing the full moon when its overhead.

Have you used the Solar / Lunar activity charts? And if so do they help in predicting when the best times to fish are or not?

I use the lunar tables only as a general reference. For example, if I can fish one of only two days, Ill try to fish the day with a better lunar rating and during a time with good activity periods.

To be honest, there are soo many variables associated with "biting" fish, that any one of them by itself is worthless. The lunar tables are just a percentage of the puzzle. A good lunar phase can be ruined because of a front. Good stable weather can elicit a good bite during any moon phase. However, if good stable weather coincides with a good moon phase, thats when I really get excited and thats when I magically get sick on Tuesday (new moon being on Wendsday:P ). Hope that makes sense.
