It's been around for quite a few years now but what the heck, here's the review. I swear before I die I will get caught up on the swimbait reviews ;)

Good luck...they are coming out with new ones faster than I can buy them, or you can review them :)

Is it hard to chop up the castaic swimbait... yeah it's not exactly a walk in the park. Getting the hook harness out is kind of a mess, and getting the tube in is kind of a mess. And there's no real guarantee that it will swim perfectly afterward, but it's just something to try if you're bored.

Like I said in the review, Chris Zaldain showed me that mod, he was ahead of the times with that one. His modified baits swam a lot like the ROF5 hudds do. I made two baits like that, and one swam good and the other didn't. The one that swam good, I was at Poway one summer shore pounding and this toad came up on the bait and did the strangest thing... she swam up to the bait, then suddenly rushed up in front of the bait and literally smacked it with her body. The hook got caught in her side for a split second but I didn't set, I was too surprised by it. 15lber no problem. I never got bit on that bait again, go figure.
