We got to the lake at 10:00 am. The day was slow not many hits (like most). We had planed on video taping a few fish. I had hit a 4 and a 5 Lb fish and my son was thinking it was going to be a long day for him, he had not got a hit at all yet. Just when he thought it would not happen that day for him he got a 6+ in the boat and he felt a little better now about the day. We went to another spot and I had one on and off was all. So we went back to where we hit the others and the day was about over... Then she hit! MAN.. it is hard to try to reel in your bait, grab the net and video cam at the same time LOL!!!(They come to the boat so fast) We get her to the boat, then in the net, over the side and in the boat. My son is saying "Let it be over 10 Dad, Tell me it's over ten" He had not caught one 10 or over yet. I said TEN! it's a TEEN!!! It's gota be! She went 13.2 My son was in that did this just happen mode LOL! (you know the feeling)
Then I wish the video cam was still running because I had my sons phone to take a pic and I stepped back into the live well, then fell forward to the bottom beck and broke the phone and also got a BIG KNOT on my shin. BUT if the cam was running that would have been one for many many laughs! LOL!!! The pain was easy to take with my son standing there with that 13 in his hand. I guess I was a little over excited for him too. LOL!
Thank You GOD. I am so glad to spend this time with my son and see the smile on his face. He can't wait to go again. Way to go Son aka bassindon13!;-)
