Does anybody know if Lake Cachumas had Florida strain bass??
What is the lake record?

I don't believe it that it officially has Florida bass in it other than mybe a few dumped in by unscrupulus fishermen. I would have to guess the record is about 14-15#, you would have to call the lake for that.

Yes Cachuma does have Florida's and Northerns.... Spoke with a fish and game warden about 10 years ago who said he believed they were now mixed. Record I believe set in a WON bass team tourny several years ago at 16.10.
Lake is just about to pop now had a great day on swimbaits on 2-14 for a 5 fish limit of 32 pounds. Had 11 fish all on big trout lures.
Went out next day and blanked....go figure.
