I almost always use the 1/2oz in silver but do use the 3/4oz in deeper water or if the current is realy moving the bait to far/fast.I do like to use the current to my advantage and sometimes just let it drift on a slack line until it reaches the bottom. Most of te time I control the lure on a semislack line and follow the bait down with the rod tip.It is thye same if you are worming a spoon back to the boat. The fish I am on are at the back of coney island and by quin?island. Its a real cool spot but I think the stripers are all over the place in the south delta. They will hit rattle traps too and also the swimbaits(white 4-5.5" sassyshad type of things).
Who knows maybe I'll see ya on the water some time:-)
