Swamp --

I'm wondering if one of the islands you're referring to is Salisbury Island? It's near the bridge that comes over from Cal Pack Rd. (which is inaccessible from the road, unfortunately -- would be good for kickin' in!). Cooch took me in there, too, when I went out with him on a guide trip.

There are (were?) a number of shacks/homes along the little inlet, with docks & stuff; my buddy built a place there, but everyone's being forced to move out & tear down their structures. Too bad, it was a nice spread. I spent a 4th of July there a few years back, where the neighbors all got together for a big feast, fireworks, etc.

Oh, well, that's *progress*, I guess ;(
