Should work, only thing is sometimes to straighten the boat out and possibly to go straight the motor may be pushing at an angle (ex: turned 45 degrees from parallel to the boat and not straight like a normal boat motor.

Also, I always check that the depth of the motor is right so that if I turn the motor sharp it does not hit my tube, that could very exciting, but I do have double bladders for stupid mistakes like that that I am not going to make.

I also have the biggest CostCo Marine Battery so far, it is heavier than my boat fully loaded but gives me all the time I need full throttle and runs my electronics. Some day I will get a gel battery for just the electronics and tournaments as my big one is like a huge lead brick (which basically it is).
