11204, What About John Lake & Rich Caro?
Posted by aparsons, Tue Oct-15-02 08:09 AM
You gotta follow those guys!

BTW, if any one out there would like to explore some new areas on the lake, there's great access all along the north shore. Obviously, State Park is good. County Park is just up the road & looks to have reasonable access to Long Tule & Quercus Points (I've never fished either, but they look good on the map). 6th Street in Lakeport can lead to Willow Point or Berger Bay. If you follow the road (don't know the name) that fronts the lake, you can find vacant lots to hit Big & Little Rocky Points (my favorites). Rodman has a primitive launch ramp, & there are public ramps in Nice & Lucerne. All are worth a shot. There's also access in the Kono Tayee area, although I've never fished it & don't know exactly where. Just beware the No Trespassing signs. They take them seriously in Lake County (I just about got arrested last year picking up my partner on Saturday PM).

I'd love to see everybody weigh-in a 5-fish limit each day (just so my 10 fish weigh the most). It's a great bass lake.

I would normaly vote for Rob due to his
years fishing the lake but I would have
to vote for Mitch this time. He is like
the energizer bunny. he keep fishing and
fishing and fishing.

Best Fishing
Gene :)
11206, Yup its all those years of Rob on Clear Lake

LMAO :) :)
11207, Not worthy of the Joey poll....lol
Posted by Lake, Tue Oct-15-02 10:34 AM
It looks to me like his poll is based on track record:

Andy has won more Opens and Invites then anyone
Mitch has done well in the last Open and Invite
Todd I believe has won a few SCBBBC TOC's there and is allways a silent threat
Rob can bust this thing wide open and also did good at the Open
Mark Serrano won the Open in 2001
Catchem Caro is just that, but there probally wasnt any spots left on the poll

Hey now, I really never fish Clear Lake much. 2, 2 and a half years tops. What's funny is I have only fished one day at clear lake that wasn't a tournament day. That was the day me and John fished it coming back from Shasta and we got skunked, go figure. I like the lake, it treats me pretty good, but I'm no expert by a long shot. So don't follow me, follow someone else!

get your money back dude .... you got ripped off!!!!
11212, maybe I'm way off but...

I'm going to have to put my money on Deren. He always seems to be into fish and he's probably fished Clear Lake more than most of us, especially since he used to have a boat.

Fish n' sticks or whatever you're calling yourself ;-) I'm giving you a vote of confidence here! Better not let me down!

I guess there's a reason I haven't been voted on...I've never won at Clear! :-)

Soooooo sad but who's to say I'm not ready for a 20+ limit...or two!

11217, I'd have to vote for FIT
Posted by , Wed Oct-16-02 05:09 AM
I'm sure I would do well to follow anyone on the list and many who are not but I have my own favorite.

Paul set me up a couple of years ago when I hadn't been bitten in a day and a half of fishing. He gave me some baits he was getting bit on while we were on the water (Senko's, which I had never heard of) with four hours to go. The result? Two fish, a 6.45 and 7.03, the second and third largest bass I have ever caught. And this while we were fishing the tourney.

Talk about being a selfless guy and a teacher! I know he thinks this was no big deal but I'm not going to let him forget it!
11218, I am with Clint

I follow FIT every place he goes, actually he also follows me every place I go too. HAR HAR HAR

Clint I was sure happy to help you out and would do it again for anyone.

FIT (AKA Paul)

PS Here is a tip for ya, I hear drop shotting a chartreuse buzz bait in a foot of water has been very productive

Speak of.. Hey John out of the 54 members
of B-n-T how come we don't have any women

membership to some local tubing clubs for next
year scedule. :)
