12280, 12-26 Middle River report

Went to Middle River this morning hunting Stripers. I launched at safe light with the wind blowing pretty good. I started out throwing a spook, hoping for that big blow-up. I went downstream under the Hwy. 4 bridge throwing the Spook, a Rattle Trap and Swimbaits. I fished for about 2 hours with no bites. I let the current push me back toward the bridge, slowly against the wind. When I started under the bridge I tossed a red/white Hairaiser up against the bridge pilings in about 15 feet of water. As soon as it hit the bottom it was slammed by a nice fat 10# Striper. I fished around the bridge for about another hour without any more bites before I got blown away by the wind.

Right on Mitch! Thats a nice sriper,too bad the topwater wasn't happening.Did Dave go with ya?

No, Dave missed out, but he had other things going on today. I'm supposed to hook up with him and his cousin on Sunday.
