I hit up Whites after work yesterday (thanks SMUD for killing the power to my biulding giving me an extra hour on the water)Launched at the concreate slab and rowed across to oppisit bank. First cast with a senko and I get nailed by a 1.5lber. Toss the senko a few more times but it did not feel right so tossed out a Pop-R and get hammered by a midget fish. Continuned to throw the Pop-R and got a fish to hit it about every five casts or so. Only about 1 in 4 were keepers but it was a bunch of fun. Largest fish went a little over three. Got two fish on a frog as well. Never tossed a spook as I was having too much fun with the Pop-R, but did see a guy in a boat stick one that was five pounds or so on a spook. I love topwater bassin on the Delta!!

Hey SactoJohn

Sounds like you had a good bite going. If I catch a fish on my first cast it is usually a bad omen. White's is my favorite place to fish in the Delta. I will be making some after work runs down there as the days get longer. I live in midtown Sac and lost power for a bit yesterday but wasn't home so it didn't bother me. We should hook up for a White's Slough trip one of these days. I can leave anytime after 4:30 M-F.

Doug

I also live in mid town (21st and P) I do not get off work untill 5:30 but as the days get longer it usally is enough time for fishing. Most of the time I leave straight from work (I work downtown) I will post when I am planning an after work excursion. I might also fish the next delta region tourney, so maybe we could caravan.
