The time is here for the 1st annual BNT Delta Open. Joey Castro will be
Beginning check in's 4:45 AM Saturday morning July 19th. At the Beacon
Island launch area. Weigh in time's are TBD during check-ins. We will also
be holding a separate big fish only tourney after weigh-ins on day 1. The
big fish event will be only 3 hours long and there is no running. This will
be an option for those still wanting more delta lip ripping after the
weigh-ins are over. We will be holding a short casting contest after the big
fish event for all interested. We will have some give aways for the winners
of casting contest. Joey Castro and Mitch Teman have done a lot of
preparation for this event; you don’t want to miss this one. Also remember
camping is on a first come first serve basis and Aerated livewells are required for all runners.

What time is weigh in on Sat? I don't think I will be able to make it because of work, but if weigh in is early enough I may be able to get to San Ramon in time.

I thought we already did a poll and the results were blast-off at safe light and weigh-in @ 1:00 PM. I also have afternoon obligations that will be tight if we weigh-in later than that...

The poll was just a tool for me to use to get an idea of what people wanted.

It's too bad that SCBBBBBBBC is holding a tournament on the same day(night). How did that happen? Isn't the idea of an Open to get a lot of anglers? I wanna win their money too. :) Just kidding.

I gave scbbbc the dates for both open's before they made there schedule. I would assume the reason they scheduled the same weekend as the open was the moon faze being its a night tournie. I hope and would imagine that our north bay freinds will support the opens more next year.

oh and yes we will be doing the regular big fish pool as well

Put me down to be there both days and Jeremy Brumbelow for Sunday only. I'll be the by 1pm so save a place for my tent trailer. I am a bit leary however, since my trip to Grant Line on Wednesday (first time to Delta with new boat), it was very difficult to clean the 'delta crap' from my pontoons. I may have to wrap them in Saran Wrap to keep them clean. Or just be a spectator.

You can replace his name at #14 with *mine*, if you'd like! Still weighing whether to bring the RV or just the Dakota. I'll be calling the resort later today to help figure out which would be the better choice. Guess I'll bring my boat cart, too, since I have no idea how close to the water we'll be, from where we're camping.

See you there, though! I'll probably be leaving from work in Milpitas somewhere between 3 & 5 on Friday, depending on when I can slip out.

Do you think I need to reserve a space to park the Jeep overnight (& kayak trailer)? If so, please save me a spot...I won't be getting up there 'til later Friday night (10PM or so).
