Does anyone have any info on good sites to launch a tube on Lake Oroville? North Fork, South Fork etc? By the way I'm heading up this Saturday (jan 17) and would welcome some company if anyone is interested.

There's a road that goes down to the water at the South Fork (don't know the name of it, my map is at home) that I've seen people launching car-top boats from. The terrain there is on the flat side, so you might be better off going to the North Fork (Lime Saddle Marina). You'll probably have to pay a launch fee, but it has steeper banks and I think it's more protected if the wind comes up...

Stay away from the dam and Bidwell Marina -- they are very exposed to the elements and there's really no good water nearby (IMO).
