I'm gonna go to Whites Slough, don't know when, probly in the next couple of weekends. Just wondering if anyone else wanted to join in, we could schedule a day and meet up there or camp overnight. Max and David C. would be likely to go as well, but I don't know. If anyone wants to go, drop me a line at mimi@dreamcottage.com and we can get a date set. Hey John, I have a question about flippin at the delta, when the tide goes out all the way, do you stick to the bamboo on the shoreline, or move out and flip the edge of the weeds? I had a really hard time getting bites up shallow after 11:30, but as I was rowing along the weed edge back to weigh in, I kept seeing big 4-5 lb bass (not carp) sitting out in the holes on the last few feet of the beds. When I pitched my senko to them they just swam away, I even tried backing off and pitching to holes where I didn't see fish, when there was a fish there it just swirled an swam away. What gives?

I talked to Darce after our gig yesterday. He said he spent most of the day working the *outside* of the weedline, not tossing 'em into the shallower shoreline cover. - j

p.s. Charlie: I have a bitmap map of our White's Slough, which gives you some detail on our kick-off spot. I'll e-mail it to you.

I still can't get over how many huge 4-5 lb fish I saw in those holes along the weedline, I guess if I had started throwing my baits there earlier I would've caught some. Well, at least that'll help me in the future.
