Me, my Dad and a bro went to Yorty yest. Fished the rockline i the back by the beach for nada. Worked our way to the bank on the rightand started to head towards the "island"(which isnt a island yet). Found some isolated trees and tossed plasti in. Dad saw his line move to the left set and missed. Chris did the same thing I tossed in about 2-3 ft of water let it sit for like 30 seconds. I went to move it about a foot or so felt no weight, then my line moved toward the deeper water. Set the hook and had a nice 3.2 LM on.
Fished the rest of the day and none of had a bite to speak of.

Was a nice day on the water.....

Lake conditions...4-5 ft of vis water was still kinda green. Average temp was 52. Was really surprised the lake wasnt as full as I had expected. But the clarity was surprising as well. I thought it would have had alot more muddy water.

I would post a pic but i still use the old school cameras so I have to wait to deveop the film.

Hey Deacon, thanks for the report. Nice fish too!

I was really suprised too on the water clarity this past weekend. The water has come up over 10ft in the past month and I'm sure we'll get to 100% pool fairly soon.

I'm itching to get out again as I've heard some good reports coming in (15-17lb sacks).

Thanks for the good report. I was up there on Saturday (1/22) trolling for them landlock steelhead. Had a couple of bites, but no hookups. Landed a nice 3 pounder the week before, trolling the yorty creek arm, about 5 feet deep.

A lot of bass boats up there on 1/22, saw some good fish come out of the water, mainly up the Cherry Creek arm.

Anybody out there target the trout/steelhead in Sonoma? Any hotspots/depths that you care to share?

Was planning on Floating the russian on Sunday, but not with all of this rain. x(

I am new to the site and am happy to find some great local posts. Good to hear from you guys. :)

Thanks,
