I was thinking of takin a little trip up to Lake Sonoma to get ready for the upcoming tourny, and i was just wondering if anyone can give me any tips up there for this time of year. I dont want you to give away any secrets, but just something to get me started on

SHould i be looking deep or shallow?
Good baits and techniques right now?

Thanks in advance,

Well, that's actually a tough one right now as the fish can be anywhere depending on what the weather does for us. At this time I think it might be a fairly tough tournament with some quality fish caught but not limits for everyone.

Key right now is just figuring if the majority of the fish are going to be shallow or deep. Again, depending on the day they can be either or both. Just get on the water and fish! Make sure to probably concentrate on or near breaklines as you'll be able to find both shallow and deep fish within a smaller area. If you have your electronics, use it!

Jigs, carolina rigs, jerkbaits and dropshooting will for sure be in my arsenal along with a rod for spinnerbaits and cranks.

Make sure when prefishing to hit as many different areas as possible to try to somewhat eliminate water and find where the fish are holding. Wish I could tell you where they are but I don't have clue yet!
