First, thanks to everyone that posted in my original kickboat recommendations thread. Your info helped a lot in my purchase.

I went to the San Mateo Sportsmen's Expo to finally get an in person look at some of the boats. I looked at a few waterskeeters and some Outcasts. Then I came up on the Dave Scadden booth. I fell in love with the Skykomish Sunrise. After lots of debate and an approval phone call to the wife, I bought the Scadden boat for $999. He threw in an anchor rope, anchor, pump, extended foot rests and a discount on shipping ($30). I've wanted one of his boats forever, but the price was always pretty high. It should be here in a week or so. Hopefully if things slow down at work I'll be trying it out in the next few weeks.

It's 10'6" with a 700lb weight capacity. My next project will be to setup a second seat so I can take the Mrs. or a friend.

They look to be well made and ready to handle the rivers and lakes.

Alright, Chris -- congrats! Looks like you got a top-of-the-line model there! Yeah, Dave Scadden seems to be a nice enough guy. I chatted with him some at last year's show. He sure has got the ideas! I've seen some innovative touches in his products.

Sounds like you're on your way, bud! I'd say you made a smart purchase there. So, you gonna be able to hook up with us down in the south bay anytime soon, or at one of our tournies?

I can't wait to get out on that thing. I'll post when I plan on going out. Hopefully we can hook up. I don't know what is biting or what lakes are doing good and I'd like to try to make it an evenful first outing!! I probably have about 2 weeks to delivery and with work going the way it is, I probably won't get out until the end of the month.
