CZ is right on with his advice and the places to put your bait. The spinnerbait bite was pretty good for me last time I was on the delta. Toss them to the shore and work them back through the weeds. You tend to get less weeds on the bait if you work it with the current but the fish are usually facing into the current. Working with the current with a blade will bring it from behind the fish this makes for a hard reaction strike when you get it close to one. If you work the blade at a 45 deg angle from the bank out to the weed edge against the current the fish can see it coming and will position themselves to intercept. You can also work it slower as the current will help keep the blades spinning. Most times I find I will get more bites doing this rather than working the blade with the current. The drawback is you will be cleaning weeds off your bait all day. I'll take the weeds for bites trade off any time. For plastics you can't go wrong with Senkos, Sweet beavers, Reapers, tubes etc. you just need to get them in front of the fish. For topwater start with buzzbaits. Others that work are Spooks, frogs, poppers etc. They all have their shining moments. Some people even like to dropshot on the delta, yuk!

Good luck out there and be sure to post a report and let us know how you do.
