Mike Ayers backs up his 2004 BNT Pro Kickboat Open win at Clear Lake with another win at the Delta this weekend. Congrats to Mike, there is a lot more news to report and we will post full details soon.

I had a great time. It was my first Delta Open and had never fished the Bethel/Franks area before. VERY COOL. It may even be our best location for an Open.

Thanks guys! Here’s my quick report! First and for most thanks to John, Paul, CZ, Mitch and all the BnT staff for another great time at Beacon Harbor! This is truly one of the funniest tournaments we all get to fish. Both days I traveled the same route always moving. I caught my first couple of 13” keepers pretty quick on the drop shot so I started throwing the 6” sinko and picked up 2 bigger fish and had 4 in the live well by 10am. After about an hour of nothing I went back to a bigger drop shop worm and instantly got my 5th keeper. With about 2 hours left I needed to cull those smaller fish but was only really able to cull one of them so I headed back to the launch ramp pretty happy with my day and was hanging out with everyone chillin’ with about 10 minutes left I started heading around the dock to tie my boat up to the dock for weigh-in and as I was putting my rods away I got to my drop shot rod and decided to make one last back hand cast before I went around the corner and I felt a bump and set the hook on a 3.14 lb and culled my last small fish. After weigh-in I was in 2nd place by 1 ounce behind the birthday boy bussfish! Day 2 I started off doing everything cooch told us with top water but after awhile I said screw this I need a limit so I grabbed my drop shot rod and began my quest. I managed to catch about 1 keeper every hour till I got a small limit and that was about it. Day 2 was definitely tougher then day 1. I never fished the island docks at all or tried to avoid the wind. After day 2 I ended up with a total weight of 20.5 lb and the win. As for all the other activities not related to fishing they were great. The raffle, the casting contest which I promise john I’ll do next time and the rusty pot hole across the street for cocktails and food was awesome. Just hanging out watching the guys’ fish for stripers was a kick. Scott R you’re too funny! Phil and Scotty thanks for sharing our site. John Stangle you always make me laugh. All the Shasta region people you guys rock! And finally for my short report congratulations to Scott Beem for a great couple of days to take 2nd place and John Lake for taking 3rd place.

Congratualtions Mike!! From everything I heard, and I've heard A LOT these past few days :P , it was one helluva time. Also a big WAY TO GO and WOO HOO to my hubby Scott for taking 2nd. I like it when he brings home checks. Joey Castro also gets a congrats for taking 6th. What a way to represent SCBBBC guys!!!!

Congrats also to everyone else who did well. Beacon Harbor is never kind to me and this weekend was no different.
