30140, Central Coast Region?
Posted by Bassin, Wed Sep-14-05 09:27 AM
I know we have spoke of this in the past but just wanted to ask again...When is B-n-T going to start a Central Coast Region? Sorry got that long term memory loss :+

Thanks,
Bryan

We were trying for 2006, but the main hang up is finding reliable TD's in that area to run the events. Participation in the area is also a factor. Are you seeing or hearing any demand for a CC Region down there?

Its still in the works.

Well you may be right on the participation side of things, although I know there are many bass fishing anglers around here. Might just be a case of getting the word out. Could be kind of slow starting out. I haven't heard from the folks out in the Valley (North Kern Float Tubers) for awhile, I am sure there are a few out there that would be interested.
As for T.D.,well! I know of one that would be honored to take the job :)

Hey brian,

I am not sure about the lakes out in the Valley, but I would think Lopez, Naci and San Antonio would be perfect places. Santa Margarita has always been a little sticky about thier rules on Floattubes. No problems with kickboats just floattubes on that lake.

I haven't heard from them in a while either. Everyone has pretty much dispanded. BJ said he's not doing it next year. I've only fished out of my kick maybe four or five times this year.

OK we have decided to give it a go. I will be in contact with Bryan via email through calfishing today. Everyone else stay tuned to the forum for updates.

If anyone out there has any suggestions on lakes they would like to see on the schedule email me at team_okuma@yahoo.com. Keep in mind that BNT Regional events are 6 tournament seasons per region. The Regional Tournament season is Jan-Sep. On top of the regional's BNT has 2 Pro Kickboat Open events per year and 1 TOC. We are thinking the 1st event of 2006 will be a CC Region dual event with the TR Region.

Here's a few to choose from:

Hensley(?)
Eastman
Millerton
Pine Flat
Kaweah
Success
Naci
San Anton

How about San Luis or the forebay?

We need to try and get further south. San Antonio being the northern most lake. Bryan and I will add these to the list and discuss. Thanks Gordon

If you go much further south, you're starting to talk about a SoCal region, aren't you? Other than Casitas and Santa Margarita (which I understand both have rules about body contact and/or vessel type/size) there isn't much available. I think the previous list included most of the lakes the NKFT guys fished (I left out Isabella). Anywhoo, I'll wait to see what you come up with...

Maybe stayin close for the first season(Naci, San Antone, and Lopez) would be good to keep people interested. Then fan out after you have everyone interested. Most of the lakes mentioned are no less than 2 and maybe even 4 hours away starting from Paso. Just a thought.
