OK guys, it's that time of year again! Let's start thinking about next years schedule.

We are interested in hearing what all you BnT members would like to see for the 2010 schedule.

The only rules are... Santa Clara County lakes are out, any lakes that require quagga mussel inspections (except Clear Lake :+ ) are out, and the May Clear Lake Open must be part of the schedule.
Nine tourneys February thru October, and a TOC location.

There will be a meeting (date and time TBD) and we will discuss all the options and vote on the locations and dates then.

Fire away!

I hope to fish more with you all next year. 1 thing I was thinking. Have you thought about doing a night event at one of the valley lakes. Like Pedro, Melones or even Amador. Those are all fun lakes at night

Before you guys get to into berryessa check on the permit. I am working on it now for TBF and its about $250

$250 to fish Berry? ouch! forget it.

Hey John, what about Eastman for that night tourney?

How about a Merced event? SCBBBC are reluctant to go there, but maybe the BNT guys will pull it off????? I'll fish it if you put it on and you don't conflict with a SCBBBC date. Just my 2 cents.

Lake Berryessa Bureau of Reclamation. I have a bunch of paperwork to read through. Paul and I can talk offline about the full details. You might not need the level 3 permit I need. I will read up and get back to you.

I like the idea of doing a night tourney in the mother load lakes.
Here is my list....
feb-naci(no freaking wiggle warts!) :o
march-delta(whites,whiskey or luis park)
april-mother load(pedro,melones,what about pardee?)
may-clear lake or mother load
june-delta(mr or can we get back to the tracy wild life place?)
july-delta night or mother load night, ranch seco night
august-collins?or delta,clear lake
sept-big break
oct-delta or clearlake
I would like to see us fish more mother load lakes but realise they are a ways away for most of us.Also what about pinto?I know it has not been that great the last few years but it's a cool little lake. The only thing is now they are doing boat inspections there. It makes no sense at all but hey,it's pinto :+

Relax,Bill! I'm pretty sure he meant avoid scheduling anything on top of the Classic. I thought the same thing for a second when I read it too. Hopefully there will be a better turnout this year.

Bill,
I only meant to avoid scheduling anything that would conflict with the Classic weekend. I have not missed an Invitational/Classic since I have been fishing from a kickboat, and I'm not ready to break that streak yet.

The entire point of this thread was to see where the members of BnT would like to see the club go in 2010.
I figured I would step out of the box a little with my picks, as a way to say we don't always have to do the same thing year after year, and see where that might lead. That's all.
Pretty sure most everyone thought I was a little out of my mind when I posted those picks!

After yesterdays meeting it appears that while some things may change, some things will always be the same.
Some of the things that will stay the same, I am happy to say are... Naci to open the season in Feb, the Clear Lake Open in May, and the SCBBBC State Classic in October.

BnT has always and will continue to support the SCBBBC and the Classic and we appreciate the support that you and the rest of the SCBBBC have shown towards BnT and our Open in May year after year.

Hope that explains everything. You know I wouldn't miss an SCBBBC Classic for nuthin!

This post has been up here for 5 days with damn near 200 views and only four people, excluding myself, have provided a list. WTF??? Is there really that little interest in this club anymore.

I am starting to get really disillusioned by this whole thing and wonder if it's worth the time and effort I put in to it. x(

Mitch,

I doubt I will get the chance to fish very many of these and am therefore not participating in the selection. I actually considered dropping out of the club and just fishing the open but Swampy talked me out of it.

I'll fish whatever you guys come up with.

Clint my friend, sorry to hear that you won't be with us at every tourney next year but I do understand how things are.
Hey, you are still a paid member until at least Dec. 31st so how about if you make believe you were going to fish every tourney and slap something together anyway.

The more input we get from the gang the better.

Ok, I have to admit I have been in here about a dozen or more times, can't help it, I have a slow job (lots of time to surf the fishing cyber world).

Mitch it is with out a dout, that we appreciate everything that you and Paul and anyone else does to keep this club rollin and making a place for all of us to go and compete doing what we all love, fishing!

Now as for a suggested schedule from me.....Being that I live so far south I am partial to the central coast here. But I did make it to the Delta for the first time (with BnT) this last year and hope to make it again in 2010. Ofcourse anytime I can make the trip up to Clear Lake I will...in the years past it has been in the spring and Fall. Finally, If it was at all possible to have an event (most likly a 2 day'r) at Santa Margarita Lake in March or April it would turn a lot of you guys onto a great Kickboating lake, Just ask Rob B. So here is my suggestion...Hope to make it to more than I did last year...

Feb: Naci (2 day)
March: Delta
April: Santa Margarita Lake
May: Clear Lake Open
June: Delta
July: Beacon (2 Day)
August: Delta
Sept: Delta
Oct. Clear Lake (SCBBBC Open)
Nov. Finish it where it started. Naci (2 day) TOC...Gotta luv those spots :-)
41971, RE: BnT 2010 schedule: members choices

OK FINE!!

Feb. 2 day Naci (Wiggle wart only tournament)
March 2 day Collins
April 2 day Mother load 1 day Melones 1 day Don Pedro
May Clear Lake
June Middle River sun downer
July Dave's idea is great!! Beacon Sat. sun downer/Sun early
Aug Tulloch night
Sep Rancho
Oct Clear Lake

No TOC instead a 2 day event/BBQ. Maybe Beacon, everyone fishes and weighs in the first day on there own then that night we draw blind partners for a combined weight the second day. No money just fun and a big potluck on Saturday night. Winners get the left overs!

I hope to fish a few more next year as well although I have committed to fish an entire circuit out of my boat this year and that starts Saturday!!!}( }

May: Clear Lake (open 2 Day)

Well I account for probably 10 of those views, lol.

I like the someplace new idea Mitch, I think you guys should try 7 mile for somewhere new, I know Balaba goes in there in the kick and there is a long road so while parking might not be ideal it can be done, i think.

I'm more of a member in spirit, :7 gotta be TBF qualified ;-)

7 mile is great water....no boaters but parking is real tight. maybe room for 6 or 7 cars max. i don't think its tourney water but great fun fishing.

Thanks Steve, No apologies necessary :+

Actually the more input we get from the members the easier it is going to be to settle on a schedule that the majority of the club will enjoy.

After all the goal here is to get together be safe and have fun, right!

Hey Mitch,
I have viewed them alot too. LOL! Only because this was my first season and I only know the spots we fished this year, I really don't have alot of input, but what ever the schedule turns out to be I will be there and have a blast again. I loved Naci and thought it was cool to have the field wide open for everyone to catch fish. I would also like to attend the meeting whenever it is. Thanks for the effort!

Gil,

What is the parking situation like where you are talking about? Can it fit somewhere around 20 cars? What about boat traffic? We are all for checking out new spots but they need to meet certain conditions to do a tourney. Let us know where you are thinking about and we can check it out.

Sorry i been waiting to see what people ideas are and go from there. I have not decided if I'm doing many tourney next year due to conflicting interest. Not interested in being told how to act towards other people and by someone who only feels like doing their part if they are catching fish. Here is my 2 cents if i show. Do what you want with dates. These are just places i would like to see.

Naci
Collins
Clear Lake
Los Banos
Beacon
Middle river
Whiskey
Whites
Berryessa
Oroville

hey guys. hey mitch, still a lot of interest here, just wish we could recruit some more guys to get the pot a little bigger. sorry been workin long days and shootin ducks all the other days, first time on comp in a week or so. HERE GOES MY LIST.

feb-collins 2 day or naci 2day

march- collins 2 day if naci in feb

apr- motherlode....what about pardee...
los banos

may- clear lake open

june- middle river

july- delta

aug- rancho senko at night.. haha sorry had to.. night somewhere....tulloch have water then?

sept- oroville 2day

oct-i agree with mitch, somewhere new...

TOC.....SOME PLACE COOL

-collins has BIG spots and largies and the best time for them is late feb-mid march... thats my pitch. But honestly, i wouldnt mind seein a couple more 2 day tourneys. I think its more fun and makes the club have better commrodery(thats spelled wrong). I am gonna try to get a couple new guys for this comin year as well.....i just think we should stray a little away from the ordinary this year.

I know the interest in BnT is there ;-)

I just wanted to stir up some stink and get some participation on the board here :+

I like everybody's choices and all the feedback, it gives us some direction to shoot for in 2010 and the future.

We will visit all this fine input at the meeting and make some decisions that hopefully will appeal to most everyone.

I know that Taylor doesn't have computer access but he will play a key role in the final decisions on the schedule since he is the TD.

He is still going to be TD isn't he?

Anyone else???

Hey Mitch,
I let Taylor know about the meeting and to confirm that he is still TD. I think we both will be at the meeting and I have 2 new members that want to join and might be able to make it to the meeting. I will have Taylor get a hold of you.
