Whats up guys,

It's about that time we get together to go over things for the upcoming year. I drove up to the SCBBBC meeting last night to get a feel for what direction they were going next year as well as to introduce my self as next years Pres. and discuss some options for the 2011 schedule.

As far as I'm concerned this is a transitional year for kickboat fishing in general. Both DJ from Sonoma and myself are looking to take not just our clubs but our sport to the next level. It is my goal as next years President to have more than 20 guys at each tournament, which is'nt a far stretch considering we had 20+ at every event except for 1 in 2010.

We have a lot to go over for next year so I urge you, if you plan on fishing with us next year PLEASE attend the meeting and make your vote count.

In 2011 we will also be holding a canned food drive(all cans donated to 2nd harvest @ years end) and a donate a pack of baits at each event drive(all procedes will go to making our Open raffle better for all)so if you come to the meeting please bring a non-perishable food item and a lure/bag of baits to donate.

There really is no easy way to settle on a central location for everybody to meet up @.... So I just say lets do it at my house, there is plenty of parking and plenty of seating.

Does a weekend work for everybody? I was thinking Sat. Dec 11 @5:00p.m. I will have some pizza & drinks.

I'm sure we can figure a way to jam a slice of pizza through the lines!

I could call you on my mobile and put you on speaker or I could bring a speaker phone to the meeting to hook up there. Neither is what I would call good quality but either should work.

Not that I have any problem with you being president for 2011..but what was the process of electing you for the position. Again I have no problem with you taking on the task. Was there some type of vote????????

Joe to answer your quesrion, the vote wasn't necessary. It has been talked about for the last couple months.

Anybody that knows how to get a hold of anyone that may be interested in going call them and let them know about the meeting. Sometimes we are not very social on this forum, myself included. There are definitely some things that we need to discuss, so please be there is u can. We know its short notice. Sorry.

Like Taylor said, no vote was necessary. When only one person shows interest for the office they win by default :+

I wish more people would have expressed interest in the club, other than showing up to fish, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards. It is just the way we have always done things.
I am not bitching as I know folks have other things on their plates besides BnT, Paul and myself included.

Rob has the enthusiasm and the desire to keep BnT going in a positive direction and will be a great President. Hopefully his enthusiasm will spur others to want to be a bigger part of the organization and help keep things moving forward.

This years meeting is the one you want to be at if you are part of BnT. It is a transitional year and there are many things in the works to improve the club and how we do business.

We do want to hear what everyone has to say. All ideas are welcome!

And... If anyone wants to volunteer for a club officer position the meeting would be the place to do so.
Of course we would vote on it :7

Dang! There is no way I can make the meeting on that date. I'll be in Honolulu that weekend running a marathon as part of the fundraiser linked below...

Although I'm thrilled about this trip, I'm really bummed that it conflicts with the club meeting because I was really hoping to attend. (But Hawaii still wins ;-)

Wish i could make it down. You came out of your way to come up here to ours, but i got a family party Sat. night that i have to be at. SCBBBC will have their Schedule posted including dated hopefully by Sunday the 19th.
