I realized when I got to Sonoma Friday morning how much I miss this lake. Little fishing pressure. LM and smallies and a ton of stuff to throw at an overall beautiful lake. Water temp 59-62 mostly sunny with 3-5ft vis. Prefished Friday with Michael Williams. All the years we have known each other this is actually our first time to fish together in the boat. Had a great time with Michael on the water. We caught a mixed bag of LM and smallies on blades, rips cranks. Spent sometime throwing the big stuff without even a follow. Typical prefish for me with not a lot of fish but eliminated a lot of water.

Camped outside Cloverdale at Dutcher Creek campground. Should be called gravel pit as it had zero grass for a tent all super sharp gravel. Improvised

Water temp 55 warming to 58. Colder and a little overcast. Tournament day I fished with Brandon, 2nd time I have fished with him in the last year. Good guy. Had 2 rods on the deck at blast off and the same 2 at weigh ins. Rip and blade. The minnows were eating the rip so I gave up on that pretty much and let Brandon play with them. Sight fished a couple out of desperation about 10am but never seen a female up. Caught a bunch of LM and smallies and had a fun time on the water. Placed 1 lb out of the money and had the fish skin hooked on a blade that would have crept me up there. Next event June 5th Delta unless I somehow make it to the Open with you all this weekend.

I dont know another place where you can catch fish out of redwoods. Really cool
