We held the big Invitational tournie this weekend @ Clear Lake. Thirty-five anglers participated! Thanks to everyone who joined us, as well as our many sponsors. Rich Caro continued his fantabulous year with a winning weight of 27.92 lb, catching his limit both days. Jeff Andress was 2nd with 17.75 lb for 6 fish (he had his limit on Day 1), & Ervin Bass rallied from 6th place on Day 1 to claim 3rd place with a total weight of 17.37 lb for 6 fish total. Others who finished in the $ include:

4th Bill Sweatt 15.36 lb (5 fish)
5th Paul Mibach 13.69 lb (6 fish)
6th Mike Tierney 12.88 lb (4 fish)
7th Rob Belloni 12.85 lb (5 fish)
8th Andy Parsons 12.45 lb (5 fish)
9th Steve Wilson 11.68 lb (5 fish)
10th Darce Caldwell 9.99 lb (3 fish)
11th Sal Placencia 9.84 lb (4 fish)

Ray Skye took big fish honors on Day 1 with a 7.10 lb beauty that went for a spinnerbait. Steve Wilson took 2nd place in the big fish hunt with a 5.09 lb dawg. On Day 2, Ervin Bass took the big fish of the day with a 5.01 lb mamma, & 2nd place went to Darce Caldwell with a 4.28 lb big gal. Jeff, Steve, & Darce - get in touch with Dink @ Floattuber.com to claim your prizes (thanks, Michael, for a great donation).

In general, the bite was tough. Rich caught many of his fish on a chartreuse/chartreuse Viper spinnerbait, modified by changing one of the blades to a large Colorado version. Otherwise, many of the bass were caught on crankbaits. There was also somewhat of a topwater bite, & fish were taken by flipping (mostly with Senkos - big surprise).

Conditions were windy, especially on Sunday. The water temp dropped from 64 F on Friday to 60 F by Sunday. Weeds were still in abundance.
