Maiden voyage was a success. Not as nice as my old Versa Vessel, but I like it a lot. Tons of storage, sits high in the water, and easy to maneuver. On the heavy side, at about 70 pounds empty. Which sucks going into my truck since the tailgate is 4 feet off the ground. I might get a hernia but I'll have fun doing it.

I used all 1" PVC for the rod holder (4 rods) and bolted it to the frame with two 3", 3/8" bolts with locknuts and a couple of backup zip ties. Found a cup holder at Auto Zone and just zip tied it on. Because you have to have a cup holder. If I get to do the Clear Lake Open next year I'll have to fabricate a new rear deck for a livewell. The stock one is too skinny.

Enjoy, Jake. Hope I get to see you on the water again. What route do you take when you come over the hill? Maybe we could get together at a lake closer to you. The lakes near me are about an hour closer from the delta and I could even come your direction.

I'm down for a day trip or even camping. I usually go throu Bakersfield and take the 99 to the 5, but I can also take 395 north through Fresno.
