I started on Sat morning with a trip to Dollar Island. The place already had 2 boats on it. Then I promptly discoved my livewell's bilge pump was going out on me. I filled the well by hand and set up a couple bubblers just in case. As it turns out I didn't need it. I cranked and jigged for while then went to c-rigging a black 10" Power worm. Nada. Later I went over to Anderson Island and tried flippin' Senkos in the grass beds. Still nada. It looks good over there though. I'll have to go back another time. On Sunday I went up to Lucerne and was molested by the dinks on my Lucky Craft Pointer 78 and a Rat-L-Trap. I kept trying in the area because it had so much life; bait, birds & baby bass. I figured there had to be some bigger fish around. The only legal fish I did get was off the 1st dock on a 2 tone/baby bass Senko. It seems summer was still hanging on a bit.
