I like the 1/4oz speedtrap in chrome with a blue/white striped back. I caught 3 of my fish on it at Clear lake last weekend and it seems to work just about everywhere.

At the moment, I like a clear, deep diving Yo-Zuri that I won in the raffle last week! It's great in the grass beds. Work it slow along the surface, then dive it down and let it float back up. Good bait!
(though I didn't win anything with it)
To be honest, I pretty nuch only use cranks in the fall when that bite gets good. I prefer blades simply because trebles are a pain in the butt. It's easier to remove 1 barb then 6. And it's more weedless. I'm just not a fan of crankbaits.

I am having a hard time narrowing it down.it would have to be for shad color's the 1/2oz green shad fat free shad for crawdad pattern wiggle wart(brown/red).Remember when picking a crank bait try to get the craw colors in a crank style that has a wide wobble, and the shad color keep it tight.

In the clear-water reservoirs, I like my Norman Deep Li'l N (**Suspend+4** model), in 'smokey shad' finish ('DLN-141' on the barcode label). The Suspend+4 model not only goes a little deeper than the standard version -- around 12-13 ft -- it also suspends & STOPS when you break up the retrieve (great feature!). It's got a wobble (and rattle) fairly similar to the Fat Free Shad.
