LAST EDITED ON Nov-01-00 AT 05:45 PM (PST)

MY weekend started Friday evening when I got home from work 5:30 or so. I was on the water by 7:30pm Fished in the Port of Stockton till Midnight without any so much as a nibble. I tried spoons; rattle traps, pencil poppers, DC8 timber rattler, nada….

Saturday morning got up around 9:am and drove over to Isleton drop in at the bridge and went down river aprx. 2 miles throwing a assortment of baits spoons; rattle traps, pencil poppers, DC8 timber rattler, and again …nada. Damm-it

It rained off and on threw-out Saturday when I got off the water at 5:30pm I was pretty beat. I luckily had the tied going the direction I needed to make for an easy ride. Being that I was tiered and did not want to take my boat down from my truck so I decided on fishing under the I 5 bridge here in Stockton. I soaked chicken livers for a hour and produced three hungry catfish. I gave them to the local supermarket. It paid for my dinner/hamburger drink and fries.

Got up Sunday and was on the water by 11:am off and on rain. There were at lease ten boats fishing in the Port here in Stockton. I made my way over to the spot where I’ve been graphing a lot of fish and began spooning. About a hour into it I got a 19” striper not long afterward got a 22” striper threw them in the live well. I switched baits to a swimbait and whamo I got a 4.5 largemouth vertical fishing. (NM) The rain really started to come down and thunder and lighting was all around. I started to get worried so I made my way under the piers pilings and began to soak livers for catfish. For two hours I was kind of stuck under the pier due to heavy activity from the passing storm. But I did managed to put twelve catfish in my livewell. I got out of the water at 6:pm and stop off at the market and gave my fish for a total of sixteen dollars.

Thinking on going back out this weekend but I’m going to try over in Antioch I’m thinking on vertical fishing the bridges pilings NM?

On the NCBF page, it means 'no message' in the body of the post, beyond the subject line. Here, I can't decipher what you mean. (You rain-doggin' fool!!) ;-)
