Hit san v with some freinds today. Origonally went for bass then trout. We went to the left side of the boat dock and bass were busting everywhere! My freind got boiled on by a 6lber on a spook. I got 3 bass on sluggos in the morning. My freind got a 4 and 2 lb bass on senkos. WE threw jigging spoons all day basically. Most of the bass boiled at the end of the dock. Saw so many guys getting fish after fish. We then went for trout after the boils died off. My freind got a nice 2.5 lber on a powerworm. He then got 2 more averaging about 2lbs. My other freind got to samll oones on megabait jigging spoons while going for bass. I got the next trout a nice 2.7! My freinds got some more and then left. I still fished and on the last cast of the day i saw a boil on the shad so i threw a hopkins spoon right on it started it to reel and wham got one thought it was a bass but nope a nice trout. Started to take drag but got him in. a Nice 4lber. And thenleft for home! A great day on the water!!

fished the pone both days this weekend. Found basically the same thing. Find the shad, and you catch fish. Interesting though, on Sat night as I was tying up to the dock, I saw a guy weighing in a huge bass. I saw it from a distance and thought thats 20lbs easy. Turns out it was over 20, but it was a striper. They planted a few stripers in the mid 90's and this one showed up. Ended up dying though. I guess they must have a hard time surviving, because you would think they would get caught more frequently if they were spawning and hatching baby stripers. Good thing, thats the last thing that lake, or any lake in SD needs is stripers eating whats left of the bait.

just thought I'd share that with ya all
