#3915, "Beavis & Butthead..."

This is off topic I know but this has been on my mind for a long time.

Have any of you noticed that the little "user profile" icon bears an uncanny resemblace to Butthead from "Beavis and Butthead" or is it just me? I have to admit I crack up everytime I see the little "Butthead" icon. :D

What do you think... Am I right or what??
Again, sorry if this is off topic or should be posted on another board. I just thought I'd share my thoughts here since this it the board I always visit.

LMAO. Rob, I think we need to convert the profile icon to an actual butthead icon. And, if possible, make the team member icons beavis...

That's exactly what I was thinking when I was reading that post.

Or perhaps use the South Park characters.

That looks like one pig of a calico in your avatar image!

How long was it?

The Bass measured 26-1/2". It was caught circa '92-'93 in Starlight Cove off Caltalina's West end while we were on a WSB 6-pack charter. It was a very large Calico. Definately a fish of a lifetime for me!! :-)

Tried to post an image link to a better picture of her but for some reason the code:
{link:URL address|text} isn't allowing this for images only page links? I inserted the {} purposely otherwise the code would try to work and I just wanted you to see the code itself. Is the attachment box the only way to insert a link?

According to the HTML Reference page the above code command should work??

Any recommendations?

Just insert the full URL into the message, no code snippets on the outside needed. The scripts look and see that it's .jpg or .gif and automatically display the image inline in the message. That's a heck of a calico btw. I got one that was 23" at San Miguel when I was a kid and it seemed giant. 26 inches is huge!

Well alright then. I was trying to link the image so it wouldn't take up server space but since you have given me your blessing... here she is:

http://home.earthlink.net/~beachikeen/_uimages/CatalinaCalico.jpg

I don't think I will ever out do this one and before you ask... let me fill you in on the details:

This fish was taken on a WSB charter roughly 10 years ago. It was at the end of the day and the squid were basically all dead by this time. This fish ate a fresh dead out of the chumline and fought much harder and differently than any Calico I've ever caught so we were all thinking... WSB. Towards the end of the battle the fish circled under the boat and then bobbed to the surface like a cork just behind the swimstep with it's gills and peck fins flaired looking really pissed. We were all in shock just at the sight of such a large Calico and it sickens me to say this but the deckhand was standing by and ready thinking I had a WSB and stuck it before we could even say boo! We were all very dismayed by this but it was too late. Truly, at the time it never even entered my mind to say anything to the decky because as far as I was concerned it went without saying that you would never gaff and old hen like this. I have had to live with that and have learned that you can't take it for granted that everyone has the same views on Calicos and catch and release in general. This was a hired hand on a charter so I guess "she" thought she was just doing her job. The boat was the "Wicked Wahine" skippered by Allyn Watson and the deckhand was his girlfriend at the time. I won't make this same mistake again.

Too bad about the gaff, wasn't your fault. At least you had the right intentions. Did you weigh the fish? Looks like a good 9 or 10lbs. to me. Where's our calico expert? ;-)
