#7941, "New rigging for the Platinum?"

I was looking through the reviews here recently and read about somebody re-rigging the original softbait Castiacs w/ a tube, like a Mission Fish? Then I thought, what if you did this to a Platinum?! Think about. The Platinums are notorious for falling apart after like 2 fish. So if you took out the harness, and placed in a tube, the bait would slide up the line and out of harm's way.I mean, the slow sink version doesn't have to much internal weight, you could anways add lead mojos? Do you think this would be possible?

Bass + Fisherman= BAASS ADDICTT!!!

Your post made me curious, so I gave it a try today. I cut the harness where it connects to the hook and line, drilled a hole through the foam, inserted a tube and melted it all back together. It looks like it should work fine, maybe I'll get a chance to try it out this weekend.

If you have a Platinum, I would highly suggest doing this, It only takes about 10 minutes and will greatly improve the life of the lure, if only there was something to do about the paint rubbing off :(
