Two rods to check out...

Shimano Crucial Swim Bait series - Medium Heavy - $149

I just got the extra heavy version of this rod to demo. The rods are really nice, clean design, and definitely desiged FOR swimbaits. The medium heavy would be great for what you're looking for

Diawa Heartland Big Bait Special - $65

These rods are rated pretty heavy lure wise but they are not stiff rods. The 7'9" extra heavy model would actually probably work fine for you. These rods are cheap rods, but they get the job done well enough.

If you can find a deal on one of the lighter action Rogue swimbait rods, those are nice too.
