#18196, "Small Boat"

Looking for advice. I have been Bass fishing from a Belly Boat in the Delta for the past year or so. I want to upgrade to something more mobile that I can put a trolling motor on and that I can spend just a few hundred bucks. I was considering a Pontoon boat and a friend suggested a Pram. I found a nice wooden one on craigslist that I like. It's just under 8' long so I can stash it on my car rack and carry no problem. I'm excited about it cause it seems like I can stand up in it and fish and it's sets up fast. I don't hear about small Pram type boats much for Bass fishing in the Delta. Are there disadvantages to it that I am not seeing or does it seem like a good option for an easy to transport inexpensive craft.
Thanks for the advice.
Jim
