Today I fished with Brian and my girlfriend Summer on the Half-Day Stardust out of Sea Landing. We started at the one mile trying for calico but only landed one after hitting a couple spots. Lance made the decision to head to the 4 mile and right away there were 4 ling cod caught but only one legal. Other than that it was slow on the first spot. Second spot I dropped down a sardine and nailed a nice 24" keeper ling. Brian caught a nice sheepshead too and Summer caught some small rockfish. The sun poked out around 10 so we decided to go back and try the bass again, and low and behold they decided to bite at the one mile. We wound up with maybe 40 calico with Brian and myself getting two each on the straight fly line. Surface fishing!!! <BR>Well that was a fun trip, I won the JP with my ling cod so that was cool too and most everyone caught some fish.
