srw: I've fished one but just casting it out and retrieving it a steady pace. Havn't used it on bedding Bass as I didn't get it until after the spawn last year.
Matt has posted that if you can get it in the bed, just let it sit there, nose-down on the bottom. Even if the male knocks or nips at it it will right itself and finally/hopefully, the female will pick it up and then..........SLAM!
