It was another great day to be on the delta for the 22 anglers who showed up at King Island resort for the 5th tournament of the 2015 season.

Oscar Baeza would be top stick on Sunday with 12.13 pounds of delta bass hitting the scale. Oscar reported a small limit for most of the day but was able to upgrade with a couple of fat 4+ pounders that ate a frog late in the day. Taking Second place was Mitch Teman with 10.04 pounds for his best five. Mitch scored all his keepers on a spinnerbait over shallow grass. In third place was Scott Rouhier with 10.04 pounds of delta bass for a days work. Taking the final paying place was Max Krieg who weighed in a limit at 10 pounds even.
The days big fish was brought to the scale by Devin De La Rosa who weighed a nice 5.03 pound fish to take the option money.

Thanks to everyone who came out to King Island.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Next up is Salt Spring Valley Reservoir.
This was originally scheduled as a night tourney on Saturday July 25th. However due to the low levels, warm water, and algae blooms we are going to change to a first light morning tourney on Sunday July 26th.
The reason is for the well being of the fish. Salt Spring is a small, shallow, private catch and release only reservoir. After dark there is lower dissolved oxygen content in the surface water, combined with the warm water and algae blooms this only gets worse.
We need to keep fish kills to a minimum and moving to a daylight tourney will help accomplish this goal.

Thanks for understanding!
