#2295, "Shallow water fishing at Santa Rosa"

Good afternoon anglers we heading in from a very nice day of fishing at Santa Rosa Island today. We had 39 eager anglers come with us today and they did an excellent job taking advantage of the spots that wanted to bite today.

We started our day in the shallower water today anywhere from 160-180 feet and had very little to show for our first hour of fishing. We worked up the Island a bit and out into 240-275 feet where we enjoyed very steady fishing on both big Chuck's and great quality Reds with a few miscellaneous Rockfish and Lingcod as well.

Our anglers did a great job today dropping down on time and keeping tangles to a minimum. Our 39 passengers ended the day with 147 nice Reds, 154 Coppers, 52 misc. Rockfish, 1 Whitefish and 28 Lingcod.

The Stardust is a go tomorrow with a light load on there 1/2 day run and the Coral Sea is headed out 3/4 Day fishing with a semi light load as well. Weather looks great for both the 3/4 and 1/2 day zone. Call the Sea Landing at 805 963-3564 to reserve a spot or feel free to show up in the morning.
